Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced crafters. Sarah provides step-by-step guidance throughout, ensuring everyone creates something beautiful regardless of prior experience.

The workshop price includes all materials needed to complete your project, use of tools and equipment, expert instruction from Sarah, and refreshments (tea, coffee, and homemade treats for adult workshops, age-appropriate refreshments for children's workshops).  Lunch will also be provided for all day workshops. 

Adult workshops usually last either 2 hours or 6 hours for all-day workshops while children's workshops are typically between 1-2 hours, depending on the age group and project complexity. 

The exact duration is always specified in the individual workshop description.

Comfortable clothing is recommended. While aprons are provided for messier projects, crafting can sometimes be unpredictable! We suggest avoiding your very best outfit, just in case.

All materials and tools are provided for every workshop. Just bring yourself and your creativity! If there's anything specific you need to bring (which has never happened to date), we'll let you know when you book.

Yes, tea, coffee, and homemade treats are included with all adult workshops. Lunch is also provided for all day workshops. For children's workshops, age-appropriate refreshments are provided. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know when booking.

To ensure personal attention and a quality experience, our regular workshops are limited to a maximum of 6-8 participants, depending upon the workshop you are attending.  

Children's workshops may have different numbers depending on the activity and age group.

Yes, there is free parking available directly outside the studio. Detailed directions and parking instructions will be sent to you upon booking.

Absolutely! Private workshops are perfect for hen parties, birthday celebrations, team building, or just a creative gathering with friends.

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• Full refund if cancelled 21+ days before the workshop date
• 50% refund if cancelled 7-14 days before
• No refund if cancelled less than 7 days before

If you need to reschedule, you may do so once without penalty if requested at least 14 days before the workshop.

Yes, we offer both Adult and Children’s workshops which will be specified in each workshop listing.  However, many adults like to bring their teenage children with them to adult workshops, so please ask about child suitability when you book.

Yes, we aim to make our workshops accessible to everyone. Please let us know about any additional needs or requirements when booking and we will do our utmost to ensure you have the best possible experience.

All our craft kits are currently available through our Etsy shop. We're working on adding direct purchasing to our website in the future.

Each kit includes all the materials needed to complete the project, step-by-step instructions, including photos where necessary. 

The only things you might need are basic household items like scissors, glue, a pencil, or a ruler etc., but these will be clearly listed in the kit description.

Due to the step-by-step instructions within each kit, most of our kits are suitable for all levels of crafters, including beginners.  The skill level required will be indicated within the listing description.

Most of our kits are suitable for children with adult supervision.

Absolutely! Our kits make wonderful gifts for creative friends and family, and as they include step-by-step instructions, they are suitable for everyone.  

Each item is wrapped in tissue paper and if you let us know it is for a gift we will include your personalised message which will be hand written onto a gift tag.

Yes, we are able to ship our craft kits worldwide. However, this is not specified in our Etsy shop listings. Please message to request an International order and a special listing will be made just for you.  Please note that any customs fees or import duties are the responsibility of the recipient.

We take great care in packaging our kits and they are triple-checked. However, we are only human, so if you do receive a kit with missing or damaged items, please contact us within 7 days of receipt, and we'll happily send replacements.

Some of our more complex kits will include access to video tutorials to supplement the written instructions. The kit description will specify if video support is included.

We're committed to sustainability and use eco-friendly packaging wherever possible.  As many of our materials as possible are sourced locally, and we prioritise natural materials over synthetic ones when appropriate for the project.

An Interior Design consultation is a personalised service where Sarah provides expert advice on designing, organising, and styling your living space or specified area, alongside storage solutions. 

A Garden/Outside Space Design consultation is a personalised service where Sarah provides expert advice on designing, organising, and styling your garden space or specified outside area, alongside storage solutions. 

Yes! Sarah provides recommendations for furniture, storage solutions, and organisational products suited to your space, budget, and needs. She can also suggest creative ways to repurpose items you already own.

Sarah offers in-person consultations throughout the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. For locations beyond this, additional travel charges may apply. Please enquire for specific details.

Not at all! Sarah specialises in maximising even the smallest spaces. Her previous 'Narnia' studio was created from a tiny boiler cupboard with a very low ceiling.  

She can help with creative storage solutions for any size space, from a dedicated room to a single cupboard.

Absolutely. For complete transformations, Sarah offers a comprehensive service that includes initial consultation, custom design planning, shopping assistance, and final styling. These projects are quoted individually based on scope and requirements.

We accept Bank Transfer or Paypal.  For consultations and private workshops, cash may also be arranged.

Workshops can be booked directly through Sarah. Booking details will be listed on each workshop. Simply select your preferred workshop, choose a date, and follow the payment instructions. If you have any difficulties, please contact Sarah for assistance.

Consultations can be booked through our Contact page. Let us know whether you'd prefer a virtual or in-person consultation, provide some basic details about your space, and we'll get back to you within 48 hours to arrange a suitable time.

Once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive an email confirmation with all the details you need. For workshops, this includes the date, time, location, and what (if anything) to bring. For consultations, we'll be in touch to gather more information about your space and requirements.

For comprehensive space transformations, we can arrange a payment plan. Typically, this involves a 50% deposit followed by the remaining balance upon completion, but we're happy to discuss options that work for you.

Sarah Joanne Designs is based in Hailes, in a stunning location in the Cotswolds. Detailed directions will be provided when you book a workshop or in-person consultation.

We may be able to offer wholesale opportunities for selected retailers.
